Stefanos Tsitsipas v Hamad Medjedovic Head to Head
They faced off in Gstaad last year in what was their only previous meeting and Tsitsipas had won that in two.
Tsitsipas Finally Wins Two in Two in Rotterdam
Stefanos Tsitsipas grabbed successive wins In the last tournament he featured in which came in Rotterdam and that was his first such instance for the season.
Because Tsitsipas has had his issues to kick off 2025, ending the United Cup on a 1-1 record and then falling to Alex Michelsen in the very first round of the Australian Open.
Even at Rotterdam, Tsitsipas managed a straightforward win in his opener against Harold Mayot but then needed three sets and over two and a half hours to scrape past Tallon Griekspoor in the second.
And in the quarterfinal that followed Mattia Bellucci coasted to a straight-set win over Tsitisipas.
The Greek number one would start off knowing too that he’s up against a player who is coming off a finals appearance in Marseille last week.

Medjedovic at Career-Best
Having won a Challenger title to kick-start the season, Hamad Medejedovic added a quarterfinal appearance at the second Challenger competition he featured in and then finished his Davis Cup engagements with a 1-1 win-loss.
All of this was pointing towards a vastly improved Medjedovic who had finished the 2024 season on the high of having made the final of his home competition in Belgrade.
Not too many, however, would have expected him to produce the kind of results he did in Marseille last week.
Wins over Karen Khachanov and Daniil Medvedev took him to the final where he put up a fight before falling to Ugo Humbert. That performance also brought Medjedovic to his career-best ranking of 73rd in the world.
The only issue is that he will be court yet again after just a day’s break between that finals appearance and his opener here.
Tsitsipas v Medjedovic Prediction
Tsitsipas is 1/2 to win this and while we might have back Medjedovic on current form, we also realise it’s not going to be an easy go for him to have played on Sunday, travelled on Monday and gotten ready for this on Tuesday. Backing the Green player to come through in two.
Tsitsipas v Medjedovic Tips
- Tsitsipas to win: 1/2
