Cameron Norrie v Luca Nardi Head to Head
This will be their second meeting with Norrie having defeated Nardi in 2022 in Rome.
Norrie Hoping to Emulate 2021 Showing
Cameron Norrie has a special affinity with the Indian Wells Masters having done extremely well at this tournament. This is the only Masters 1000 (and beyond) title he has won he has won in his career and that came in 2021.
In the following years, Norrie then made the quarterfinals in successive competitions in 2022 and 2023 and was ousted in the third round last year.
So while Norrie’s form has been a tad iffy this season – a quarterfinal in Hong Kong and Delray Beach being his only performances of note – he will get the happy vibe from this competition like one can expect a player to.
Norrie does take on a player who has been doing well this season but he will hope he can use the aforementioned confidence and translate that into a win.

In-Form Nardi Looking to Continue Building on Form
With a career-best ranking of 70th in the world, Luca Nardi’s performance in Dubai has meant he will enter the Indian Wells Open with an even better ranking.
He had made the second round at the Qatar Open a week earlier after starting out as a qualifier but in Dubai Nardi had been bundled out of the competition in the second qualifying round itself.
Nardi got himself a second chance as a lucky loser and went on to defeat Marton Fucsovics and surprise Zizou Bergs to make it to the quarterfinals.
While he put up a fight there, Nardi went down in three sets to Quentin Halys but had done enough to prove he belongs. He will have a decent shot here.
Norrie v Nardi Predictions
Norrie can be backed to win this and while Nardi might even push him to the third set, the Brit has a solid game on these surfaces to carve out his second round place in this one.
Norrie v Nardi Tips
- Norrie to win: 3/5
- Three sets in the match: 6/5
