Elena Rybakina v Katie Boulter Head to Head
There has been just one previous meeting between these two and Rybakina had won that Wimbledon 2023 match..
Rybakina Eases Past Lamens
Like has been the case throughout the season, Elena Rybakina did not have any trouble getting past her second round opponent, Suzan Lamens.
In a match that went on for an hour and 26 minutes, Rybakina clinched a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Lamens to progress to the third round after having missed playing in this tournament last year.
Early in the first set, in the first game in fact, Rybakina dropped her serve but that was the first and only time that happened in the match. In the very next game, Rybakina broke back and then did that again in the eighth game to wrap things up.
The second set opened with a break of serve in favour of Rybakina who then finished off the encounter with a break of serve in the ninth game too.
This follows a semifinal appearance at the WTA Dubai and a fourth round appearance at the Australian Open for Rybakina prior to this.

Boulter Shrugs off Fitness Concerns
Katie Boulter had entered the tournament after a layoff of over a month and a half, having not played a competitive match since the second round of the Australian Open.
There she had lost to Veronika Kudermetova before opting to work on her injury concerns.
Which is why when she returned with her second round match against Irina Begu here, there were a few question-marks about how she would go.
Boulter started off gingerly, getting broken in the fourth game and then losing the set in the tie-breaker.
As the match went on, however, Boulter began to find her rhythm and completed the next two sets quicker than the first, winning 6-7 (2), 6-3, 6-0 in two hours and 39 minutes.
The good news for Boulter is two-fold – she won after nearly a month and a half of inaction and that she survived that long on court. Can she now put up a show against the former Wimbledon winner?
Rybakina v Boulter Predictions
Elena Rybakina looked to be in some incredible form, especially in early rounds of tournaments and unless Boulter gets back to her peak here, it looks like this would be headed just one way.
