What Has Fritz Done So Far This Season?
Taylor Fritz kick-started the season with a solid performance at the United Cup where he helped USA grab the title. He would have expected to do a lot better than he did at the Australian Open, losing to Gael Monfils in the third round and since then hasn’t given the kind of impact he would have liked leading up to the Miami Masters.
At Dallas and Delray Beach, he won and lost one round apiece before reaching the fourth round at the Indian Wells Open with wins over Matteo Gigante and Alejandro Tabilo. His journey at that tournament was ended by Jack Draper who ousted him in straight sets on his way to winning the title.
At the Miami Masters, Fritz did well to reach the semifinal before he was edged out by Jakub Mensik in three sets despite not losing his serve in the match even once.
What Has Fritz Done in His Career?
Taylor Fritz’s best performance ever came at the 2024 US Open where the American made the final before going down to Jannik Sinner.
Before that, Fritz had been the quarterfinalist at that very tournament and also reached the last stage at both, the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
A winner at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters and a bronze medallist at the Paris Olympics men’s doubles competition, Fritz has also won seven other ATP titles and reached the final of the ATP Finals in 2024.
