What Has Sabalenka Done So Far This Season?
Sabalenka kick-started the year like she had done all of 2024 as she went on to win the Brisbane International by defeating Polina Kudermetova in the final. She then reached the final of the Australian Open and a had a chance to make it three title wins in a row in that tournament but lost to Madison Keys in that encounter.
A bit of a lull followed when she was knocked out of her opener at the WTA Doha and lost to Clara Tauson in the third round in Dubai but Sabalenka turned things around in Indian Wells and Miami.
At the first of those Sunshine Masters competitions, Sabalenka made the final before going down to Mirra Andreeva but then came into her own by winning six matches in a row in straight sets to lift the Miami Open title.
What Has Sabalenka Done in His Career?
Sabalenka has been one of the select few women’s tennis players to have hit the world number one in the sport. In fact, only 28 players before her reached that milestone since the WTA rankings were first introduced in 1976.
In doing so, Sabalenka has won three Grand Slams in her career so far including twice at the Australian Open and once at the US Open which came in 2024. The Belarusian player had a chance of winning three titles at the Australian Open in a row in 2025 when she reached the final but fell to Madison Keys in the title decider.
Other than that, Sabalenka has also won two Grand Slam doubles titles, has been a singles semifinalist at both, the French Open and Wimbledon and won WTA 1000 singles titles in Doha, Miami, Madrid, Cincinnati and Wuhan.
