The WTA Charleston Open continues on Thursday, April 3 with Jessica Pegula, Madison Keys and Qinwen Zheng taking to court for their third round matches. Here’s the day’s schedule for this second day of the Charleston Open.
Five of the third round matches will be held at Credit One Stadium and the remaining three will be played at the Althea Gibson Stadium.
Action begins with a battle between the eighth seeded Amanda Anisimova and the 10th seed Yulia Putintseva. Americans Emma Navarro and Ashlyn Krueger will clash in their third round match after this before the top seeded and Miami Open finalist Jessica Pegula takes to court.
Pegula will be up against Australia’s Ajla Tomljanovic for a place in the quarterfinal in what will be the third match at this court. Another American and Australian Open winner Madison Keys will be next on court as she takes on Anna Kalinskaya before Australia’s Daria Kasatkina faces Sofia Kenin.
Over at the Althea Gibson Court, Russians Diana Shnaider and Ekaterina Alexandrova face off in their third round match before Danielle Collins, who is seeded seventh in the tournament takes on Jelena Ostapenko.
The third seeded Qinwen Zheng should not have a lot of worries when she plays Elise Mertens in the third round today.
