Get all the free WTA Wuhan Open betting tips, predictions and picks along with their latest odds for the 2025 edition of the tournament, a women’s hardcourt competition played in the Asian tennis swing.

Played as a WTA Premier tournament till 2019, the Wuhan Open returned to the women’s tennis calendar in 2024 after a gap of four years. In its current avatar, it is a part of the WTA 1000 series of competitions played over a one week period.

The Wuhan Open was first played in 2014 and has seen some of the best players in the world feature in it over its very short history.

This tournament is one of the six competitions held in mainland China this season, other than the Hong Kong Open. Other than the WTA China Open, this is the only other WTA 1000 event held in East Asia and one of four such tournaments hosted in Asia.

WTA Wuhan Open 2025 Tournament Preview

Wuhan made a return to the WTA calendar in 2024 and in 2025 it will be see some of the top women’s players feature in the competition. The last three editions of the tournament held in 2024 after it was earlier played in 2018 and 2019 were won by Aryna Sabalenka and have all been won by Aryna Sabalenka.

The Belarusian is in line to make it four in a row. She is the top seed, has had a terrific run this season, coming off a US Open title and is 32-5 on hardcourt surfaces this season.

The good news for fans coming into this year’s Wuhan Open is that Sabalenka will be joined by the all the other top six ranked players on the WTA charts.

Iga Swiatek had an odd reversal at the China Open where she was bagelled 6-0 in the final set at the hands of Linda Noskova. She will hope for some better fortunes here.

Also joining her will be Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Mirra Andreeva and Jessica Pegula.

Gauff hasn’t done much of note since her French Open title though she did make it through to the China Open semifinal before this. There she overcame Leylah Fernandez and Belinda Bencic on her way to the last four before she was taken down by Amanda Anisimova.

Anisimova has been in the form of her life, making it to five WTA finals this season and winning two of them. Compare that to the four previous finals she entered in her career before this year and you get the gist of how things have turned around drastically for her.

Andreeva’s inconsistency in recent times make her an outsider here while Pegula is always a dangerous player but has found it tough to overcome the top guns in such tournaments.

Naomi Osaka is a dark horse in this one but her form has been slightly patchy and she will need to turn things around drastically.

Earlier in the tournament, Sabalenka had overcome Cori Gauff after having fallen a set behind and had also needed three sets to get past Yulia Putintseva.
