WTA Jiangxi Open Betting Tips, Picks, Predictions & Odds for the 2025 Edition

Get all the free WTA Jiangxi Open betting tips, predictions and picks along with their latest odds for the 2025 edition of the tournament, a women’s outdoor hardcourt competition played in the lead-up to the season-ending WTA Finals to be played the following month.

First held in 2014 as one of the WTA$125k event, the Jiangxi Open then acquired the status of a WTA International event in 2016. Since then it has been held each year till 2019 before the pandemic stalled the organisation of the tournament in 2020.

It wasn’t held the following year because of the same reason as well before the WTA cancelled it in 2022 because of the Peng Shuai controversy.

The tournament resumed in 2023 as a WTA 250 competition and will see another edition held in 2024 as the same series. Not surprisingly, the Jiangxi Open has already seen a few Chinese winners in the short time it has been around.

What Happened in the 2024 Edition of the WTA Jiangxi Open?

Viktorija Golubic won her second career title when she defeated Rebecca Sramkova in the final. She won 6-3, 7-5 to grab the trophy.

Having won her maiden title in 2016 – at the Swiss Open – and made three other finals at Linz, Lyon and Monterrey without winning a tournament, Golubic dropped just one set on her way to winning the title.

The Swiss player had earlier sent the top seeded Marie Bouzkova packing from the tournament, winning their semifinals 6-1, 6-2.

Sramova, who was the second seed, faced some resistance from Martina Trevisan in their quarterfinal as her only three-setter en route the final. She had gone into the match as a favourite but surprisingly came second.

What Happened in the 2023 Edition of the WTA Jiangxi Open?

The 2023 edition of the Jiangxi Open was won by Katerina Siniakova, who defeated the third seeded and fellow Czech player Marie Bouzkova in the final.

Siniakova won 1-6, 7-6 (5), 7-6 (4) in a match that lasted over three and a half hours, and became the longest final on the WTA circuit for the season. She was forced to save three championships points in the process having needed to overcome a break of serve in both the last two sets.

Earlier, top seeded Beatriz Haddad Maia was sent packing by Nao Hibino in the first round while second seeded Magda Linette went down to Valeria Savinykh at the same stage of the tournament.
