Adrian Mannarino v Richard Gasquet Head to Head
There have been three meetings between these two players at the highest level with Gasquet leading 2-1. Gasquet won at the 2011 Australian Open and more recently at the 2023 Cincinnati Masters while Mannarino’s only win came in Cincinnati in 2016.

Adrian Mannarino looked to have got a second wind to his tennis career when at the age of 35, he went on to win three ATP titles – in Newport, Astana and Sofia in 2023.
What that meant was that about a year ago, Mannarino had hit his career-best ranking of 17th in the world – a stunning achievement for a player who was probably on his last legs on the tennis tour.
Unfortunately for Mannarino he hasn’t been able to continue in the same vein, and saw a disastrous previous season in which he barely won anything.
And that seems to have continued into 2025, in which Mannarino has played in four tournaments including two Challenger events and is yet to win a main draw match.
He faces old rivalry and fellow countryman Richard Gasquet who is undergoing a bit of a similar issue.
Gasquet Struggling for Results
Richard Gasquet ended the 2024 season ranked 129th in the world.
To give you a context, the former world number seven last finished a season ranked outside of the top 100 in 2004 – 20 years ago!
Unfortunately for Gasquet things have gotten only worse in 2025.
He has featured in two tournaments this year – in Brisbane and Australian Open – and fell in the qualifiers at both.
Aged 38, he is two years older than his opponent here, which means they kick-start this encounter on somewhat of an even keel as far as form and fitness is concerned.
