Peyton Stearns’ maiden title win in Rabat last year would have opened the possibilities of the American breaking into the top 40 at some stage over the following few months.

Yastremska Misses Linz Title
Despite losing her opener at the Brisbane International, Dayana Yastremska has managed to get her act together after that.
And while Yastremska failed to emulate her semifinal appearance at the Australian Open from the previous season, she has done enough this year already to not let her fall drastically in the rankings.
A third round loss at the season’s first major following her semifinals last year would have lost her a lot of points but Yastremska followed that up with a runner-up trophy in Linz.
That included two stunning wins over Maria Sakkari and Clara Tauson that took her to the final where it was Ekaterina Alexandrova who took her down.
Still, Yastremska enters this encounter with a lot of confidence.
