Get all the free ATP Hamburg Open betting tips, predictions and picks along with their latest odds for the 2024 edition of the tournament, a men’s clay court tournament played after Wimbledon this season.
Once called the German Open Tennis Championships, the ATP Hamburg Open is one of the oldest tournaments in the world having first been played in 1892. It was held at various venues earlier before settling in on Hamburg.
What’s interesting to note about the Hamburg Open is that it has had multiple controversies associated with it with the tournament organizers having taken the circuit to court over the loss of its status as its Masters event. It had earlier been a part of the Masters series between 1990 and 2008.
The Hamburg Open competition not only lost its status as an ATP 1000 event but also its place in the calendar as a tune-up to the French Open. Now it’s played after Wimbledon making it less appealing to some of the top players in the world.
This could be slightly different in the 2024 season though what with the Olympics tennis to be held on clay around the same time, allowing players to use this event for practice.
Some of the players who have won a title in Hamburg include Stefan Edberg, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Andrey Rublev and Alexander Zverev.

What Happened in the 2023 Edition of the ATP Hamburg?
Local lad Alexander Zverev did not drop a single set en route winning the Hamburg Open title in 2023.
In an interesting twist of fate, Zverev, who was the fourth seed coming into the tournament, did not face a single seeded player in the entire competition with only Lorenzo Musetti and Casper Ruud even making the quarterfinal. Zverev was the only seeded semifinalist.
In the final, Zverev defeated Laslo Djere 7-5, 6-3 to lift the trophy after the Serb had sent out the defending champion Lorenzo Musetti in the quarterfinal and then eased past Zhizhen Zhang in the semis.
