Daily tennis betting tips and predictions

Get all the free ATP Almaty Open betting tips, predictions and picks along with their latest odds for the 2024 edition of the tournament, a men’s hardcourt competition played in the Asian tennis swing.

Played as one of the very few tournaments in West Asia, the Almaty Open is hosted in Kazakhstan. The tournament began in Astana in 2020 before it was moved to Almaty in 2024.

Astana was given the hosting rights to the tournament because of the pandemic that had caused a lot of cancellations around the world.

It is the first indoor tennis tournament to be played in the second half of the season and what makes it interesting is that it has seen Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas feature in it before. In that season, the Astana Open as it was then called, was an ATP 500 tournament before it was changed back to an ATP 250 the following year.

There was one year, back in 2021, when the tournament was played on both, the ATP and WTA circuits but the women’s competition wasn’t held after that.

What Happened in the 2023 Edition of the ATP Almaty Open?

The 2023 edition of this tournament was held in Astana like all the others before that and was called the Astana Open. In what was his second ATP title of the season, Frenchman Adrian Mannarino overcame Sebastian Korda in the title-decider 4–6, 6–3, 6–2.

It was Korda’s fifth attempt at winning a title but again, like the previous four times he lost in the final.

This was after Mannarino had eased past Sebastian ofner and Korda had needed three tie-breakers in his semifinal against Hamad Medjedovic to set up the final.

Top seeded Tallon Griekspoor was knocked out in the quarterfinal by Korda, while Medjedovic defeated the fourth seeded Jiri Lehecka in the same round. Four other seeded players did not make it past the second round.
