Get all the free ATP China Open betting tips, predictions and picks along with their latest odds for the 2025 edition of the tournament, a men’s hardcourt competition played in the Asian tennis swing.
A tournament that began all the way back in the 1990s on the men’s tour, the China Open has had a chequered past. It wasn’t played between 1998 and 2003, returned in 2004 and then missed out three years of hosting between 2020 and 2022 as well.
Currently, it is an ATP 500 event that attracts some of the biggest tennis stars in the world having seen Novak Djokovic win this title a whopping six times. What makes this an even more wonderful achievement is that the Serb grabbed it six in a row when he participated in it.
The China Open was one of those tournaments which was played on carpet in its earlier avatar before its shift to outdoor hardcourt in 2004. It used Hawk-Eye to adjudicate on line calls for the first time outside of North America.
In 2004, a women’s event was also held by the same name.

What Happened in the 2024 Edition of the ATP China Open?
In what turned out to be a ripper of a contest between the two best players of the season, Carlos Alcaraz edged out Jannik Sinner in the final to clinch the title.
Alcaraz came back from a set down to win 6-7 (6), 6-4, 7-6 (3) to add to his list of titles after having won the French Open and Wimbledon earlier in the season.
It was Alcaraz’s 16th title and it came at the end of a pulsating match filled with extremely exciting rallies and awe-inspiring points. Sinner faced three set-points in the first set, saved them all before winning it in a tie-breaker.
He then had multiple break-points to get past Alcaraz’s serve but the Spaniard held on before breaking Sinner and grabbing the equaliser.
It was Alcaraz’s turn to take a 3-1 lead in the final set but Sinner forced it into a tie-breaker in which he went 3-0 ahead. Alcaraz went on to win seven points from that point onward to clinch it.
Alcaraz had dropped no set in overcoming Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, Tallon Griekspoor, Karen Khachanov and Daniil Medvedev to reach the final.
What Happened in the 2023 Edition of the ATP China Open?
Sixth seeded Jannik Sinner overcame a difficult start in the first round of this competition to go on to win the China Open title in 2023. Sinner, who was stretched to three sets by Dan Evans in his opener, then needed three sets against Grigor Dimitrov in the quarterfinal as well.
He routed the top seeded Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals in straight sets before clinching the title with a 7-6 (2), 7-6 (2) win over the second seeded Daniil Medvedev in the final. Medvedev had defeated the eighth seeded Alexander Zverev in the semifinals.
The third, fourth and fifth seeds, Holger Rune, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev failed to go past the second round.
