ATP Hangzhou Open Betting Tips, Picks, Predictions & Odds for the 2024 Edition

Get all the free ATP Hangzhou Open betting tips, predictions and picks along with their latest odds for the 2024 edition of the tournament, a men’s hardcourt competition played in the Asian tennis swing.

Not much is known about the Hangzhou Open which will be played for the first time on the ATP calendar in 2024.

It replaces the Zhuhai Open or the Zhuhai Championships which was itself one of the more recent men’s tennis tournaments played at the highest level having begun in 2019. Following that year, it wasn’t played for three years because of the extended pandemic-related issues in China before it made a comeback in 2023.

Instead of its third edition which was to be held in 2024 it will be replaced by Hangzhou Open, another outdoor hardcourt competition and one of the few to be held in China as the players build towards the Shanghai Masters which will be played in October.

Hangzhou had hosted the 2023 Asian Games and the tennis centre at the same will be used for this year’s competition as well.

What Happened in the 2023 Edition of the ATP Hangzhou Open?

There have been no previous editions in Hangzhou with the city making its debut on the ATP tennis calendar. It replaces the Zhuhai Open and here’s what transpired at that tournament last year.

Karen Khachanov, who had gone into the 2023 edition of the Zhuhai Open as the top seed, went on to live up to that billing by clinching the competition. The Russian player overcame Yoshihito Nishioka in straight sets in the final to win the tournament, the first time he had done so at this level in five years.

Having gone into the tournament with a first round bye, Khachanov faced his only piece of resistance in the quarterfinals when he was forced to overcome the loss of the first set against Mackenzie McDonald before winning in three.

He eased past Sebastian Korda in the semifinal to set up his title-deciding outing against Nishioka, who had earlier overcome Aslan Karatsev in the semifinal to prevent an all-Russian finale.

Karatsev had earlier shocked the second seeded Cameron Norrie while Nishioka sent the third seeded Jan-Lennard Struff packing in the quarterfinals.
