What Happened in the 2023 Edition of the ATP Moselle Open?

In a rather one-sided final, Ugo Humbert dispatched Russia’s Alexander Shevchenko 6-3, 6-3 to clinch another ATP title. Humbert had come into the tournament on the back of three tournament wins at this level – at Halle, European Open and Auckland Open.

Incidentally, Humbert was the only seeded player to have made the semifinal. The top seeded Holger Rune had withdrawn just prior to the start of the competition,  as did the second seeded Alex de Minaur.

Third seeded Karen Khachanov made the quarterfinal but lost to Shevchenko while the sixth seeded Lorenzo Sonego, who was the defending champion got knocked out by Fabio Fognini.
