What Has Alcaraz Done So Far This Season?
Before coming into the Madrid Masters, Alcaraz had kick-started his season with the Australian Open where he made the quarterfinals before losing to Novak Djokovic.
He went on to win the Rotterdam Open title, his first ever indoors tournament victory and then took part in the ATP Qatar Open where Alcaraz lost in the quarterfinals to Jiri Lehecka.
Alcaraz looked good at the Indian Wells Masters where he reached the semifinal but fell to the eventual winner Jack Draper at that stage.
At the Monte-Carlo Masters, Alcaraz suffered a stunning loss at the hands of David Goffin in the second round itself. He overcame that, however, with a title win at the Monte-Carlo Masters and finished runner-up to Holger Rune in Barcelona.
What Has Alcaraz Done in His Career?
Having broken into the top 100 of the ATP Rankings in 2021, Carlos Alcaraz ended the season ranked in the top 35. He would go on to grab the top spot on those rankings before turning 20, making him the youngest to do that.
Alcaraz has gone on to win four majors in his career including the 2023 and 2024 Wimbledon, 2022 US Open and 2024 French Open.
Other than that, Alcaraz has also pocketed the Indian Wells Masters on two occasions, Miami Masters in 2022 and the Madrid Masters in 2022 and 2023.
He was the men’s singles silver medalist at the 2024 Paris Olympics and has a total of 17 tour level titles under his belt including the aforementioned ones.
