French Open 2024 Betting: Djokovic 4/1 after Carballes Baena Rout

Daily Wimbledon 2024 betting tips and predictions

Novak Djokovic gave a glimpse of what he is capable of when in full flow in his second round win at the 2024 French Open. As a result of that victory, he is now 4/1 to grab another title at Roland-Garros.

With Djokovic having yet to win a title this year, there have been a few question-marks over his form in recent times. All of that was dispelled when he ran off to a 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 win against Roberto Carballes Baena.

The world number one, who had come into the French Open 2024 at 13/4 odds to grab the title, is a little stretched at 4/1 at the moment despite back to back straight-set wins though. And this could be down to his own form and the challenge he faces from not one, but two contenders this time.

While Carlos Alcaraz was stretched to four sets in his second round match by Jesper de Jong, he continues to remain a favourite but bookmakers are struggling to pick a second favourite between Djokovic and Jannik Sinner.

Fortunately for Djokovic, neither of them them are in his half which means he would be facing just one of them at worst – and too in the final.

In Djokovic’s half are the likes of Alexander Zverev – who had earlier knocked out Rafael Nadal – Holger Rune and Daniil Medvedev, who could all be his potential semifinal opponents.

Before that, however, Djokovic needs to overcome Lorenzo Musetti in the third round, the winner of the Francisco Cerundolo-Tommy Paul match in the fourth and possibly one of Casper Ruud or Taylor Fritz in the last eight stage.

Here’re the French Open 2024 betting tips for Friday, May 31.
