Tommy Paul v Tristan Boyer Head to Head
This will be their first meeting.
Paul 10-3 in 2025
Tommy Paul had broken into the top 10 of the ATP Rankings after winning three ATP titles last year. And while he hasn’t won so far this year, Paul looks to have continued that form over to this season.
He enters the Indian Wells Masters with an opening round bye following a record of 10-3 before that.
A semifinalist in this competition last year, Paul kick-started the year with a semifinal in Adelaide, then stormed into the quarterfinal of the Australian Open – falling short of his best ever Grand Slam showing when he lost to Alexander Zverev – and then continued his good form in Dallas as well.
Paul made the semifinal there before a resurgent Denis Shapovalov ended his journey there.
More recently, Paul was forced to withdraw from his second round match at the Mexican Open when he suffered food poisoning.

Boyer Edges Past Vukic
Tristan Boyer is still quite new on the tour but has had a rather drastic rise in the rankings. Ranked outside the top 1400 in 2023, he climbed to 133rd at the end of the 2024 season.
And while he had entered this tournament on the back of just one main draw win, that was on his majors debut earlier this year at the Australian Open.
Boyer had been forced to go through the qualifiers before he stunned Federico Coria in the first round. While he lost in the second round and didn’t win a round at the following three tournaments, Boyer looks to have turned things around here.
In his opener against Aleksandar Vukic, Boyer came back from a set down to win it in a final set tie-breaker, two hours and 20 minutes into the encounter.
He will look to put up a fight here.
Paul v Boyer Predictions
Paul should not have a lot of worries here unless he is still feeling the effects of the stomach bug that he suffered in Acapulco. Backing him to win this in straight sets.
Paul v Boyer Tips
- Paul to win in straight sets: 1/2
