Tommy Paul v Cameron Norrie Head to Head
Since facing off in a Challenger competition in 2016, they have played each other four times and Norrie leads 3-1. Their most recent outing came in 2022 at Wimbledon which Norrie had won in straight sets.
Paul Sends Boyer Packing
Following a first round bye, Tommy Paul needed just an hour and 10 minutes to win his second round match against Tristan Boyer.
An early exchange of service breaks saw them tie at 2-2 in the first set but from that point onward, Boyer won just two games – one in each of the two sets – leaving Paul a 6-3, 6-1 winner.
This was Paul’s first match since he withdrew from his second round encounter at the Mexican Open because of food poisoning. The effects of that illness seem to have long gone.
Paul had earlier made the quarterfinals of the Australian Open and is a 2024 Indian Wells Open semifinalist, making it imperative for him to get deep into this competition if he wants to continue remaining around the top 10.
He has a tricky third round encounter up next.

Norrie Stuns Lehecka
Cameron Norrie has had a bit of an up and down kind of a season and that reflects in his ranking too.
The former top 10 player has fallen to 77th in the world and having entered this tournament on the back of just five wins from 11 matches, Norrie was never going to have it easy.
He did have it easy in the first round when he took on Luca Nardi, defeating him 6-0, 6-3 but against Jiri Lehecka in the second round, Norrie started off a 7/5 underdog.
And when he lost the first set, it looked like things were headed to script.
Norrie fought back though, overcoming that deficit to win 3-6, 6-4, 7-5 in one of the shock results of the second round.
This win helps Norrie emulate his performance from the previous season where he had been seeded and then defeated Lorenzo Sonego before losing to Gael Monfils. Can he go one better than last year?
Paul v Norrie Predictions
Paul starts off a 3/10 favourite but up against him is a rampaging Norrie, who could give him a run for him money. Backing this to be a tight encounter.
Paul v Norrie Tips
