All the women’s fourth round matches at the 2025 Miami Open will be played on Monday, March 24 as the likes of Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, Coco Gauff and Jasmine Paolini are among those in action today. Get the best predictions and tips for the day from ATP Miami Open 2025.
Aryna Sabalenka v Danielle Collins
While Danielle Collins entered this tournament as the defending champion, she is not only going to play her fourth round match against the world number one but also against a player who has played her six times before this and won every single time.
This is what Aryna Sabalenka does to her opponents, even some of the top ones – give them no chance to get close to defeating her. And Collins comes into this match without too much rhythm to her game won just five matches all season.
These five include two in this tournament – against Sorana Cirstea and Rebeka Masarova in the previous rounds – but coming up against Sabalenka would be a different kettle of fish.
Sabalenka, who had earlier won 11 in a row before going down to Madison Keys in the final of the Australian Open and has grabbed an Indian Wells Open final since then, has lost just four games in this competition so far.
A 6-3, 6-0 win over Viktoriya Tomova was followed by a 6-1 win in the first set of her third round match before Elena-Gabriela Ruse retired from their match. Things could a tad more challenging for Sabalenka but we are still backing her to get this in two.
Sabalenka v Collins Tip: Sabalenka to win in straight sets: 1/2
Cori Gauff v Magda Linette
Coco Gauff will face Magda Linette in what will be their third career meeting. The American has won them before this, having beaten Linette in a hard-fought three-setter at the US Open and then eased to a win in Wuhan last year.
This year, Gauff hasn’t quite delivered the final punches in competitions since helping USA win the United Cup in the first week of the season. Her win-loss record of 8-4 after that isn’t underwhelming by any stretch but for a player looking to be counted as one of the greats she could do better.
That said, Gauff has played some excellent tennis in this tournament with wins over Sofia Kenin and Maria Sakkari, losing a mere six games in doing so. And she will be expected to get her feet moving quickly against Megda Linette too.
Linette, on her part, looks to have found some of her rhythm again after a slow start to the season. Having won just three of her first eight matches this year, Linette was a second favourite in both her first two rounds here.
And she still won, defeating Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova and Ekaterina Alexandrova to set up a meeting with Linda Fruhvirtova. With Fruhvirtova showing a fine return to form as well, things could have gotten challenging for Linette but she managed to quell that challenge with a 7-5, 6-4 victory.
Can she put up a fight against Gauff?
Gauff v Linette Tip: Gauff to win in straight sets: 1/2
Jasmine Paolini v Naomi Osaka
This will be the first meeting between the world number seven Jasmine Paolini and the former Grand Slam winner Naomi Osaka.
Osaka in currently 61st in the world having taken a maternity break in 2023 and having not had the best season of her career on her return last year. This season, Osaka has shown glimpses of her previous fine fettle but fitness hasn’t quite been the same for her so far.
She has already had to retire mid-match twice in 2025 and then lost in straight sets to Camila Osorio at the Indian Wells Open in round one. The good news is that Osaka has spoken out about her ambitions and they are to play against some of the top players in the world and Paolini, ranked seventh is currently one of them.
The Italian benefitted from an Ons Jabeur injury after having defeated Rebecca Sramkova in her second round match. Earlier this month, Paolini had made the fourth round of her Indian Wells Open match as well.
However, most of Paolini’s wins have come against players ranked outside the top 30 and the manner in which Osaka is playing right now, she does seem like a top-30 if not a top-20 player.
Backing Osaka to win this.
Paolini v Osaka Tip: Osaka to win: 11/20
Amanda Anisimova v Emma Raducanu
This is an interesting part II of the battle between Amanda Anisimova and Emma Raducanu. The first one came at the Australian Open earlier this year where Raducanu had coasted to a straight-set win but Anisimova had gone on to achieve greater things since then.
The first of those aforementioned things came at the Qatar Open where Anisimova won her maiden WTA 1000 event with some solid performances. Then, at this tournament in Miami, Anisimova sent Mirra Andreeva packing in the third round to set up this meeting with Raducanu.
In a lot of ways, Raducanu has herself been a surprise fourth round entrant in this competition with a shock win over Emma Navarro earlier in the second round raising her fans’ hopes. She followed that up with a win over McCartney Kessler who struggled through the match with an injury before retiring in the second set.
Anisimova will hold the advantage here given how well she has grown as a player and the fact that she is up against someone who last won four matches in a row at the 2021 US Open – a tournament Raducanu had gone on to win.
Anisimova v Raducanu Tip: Anisimova to win: 11/20
