World number one Aryna Sabalenka will face the ninth ranked Qinwen Zheng in the quarterfinal of the 2025 WTA Indian Wells Open which will be played on Tuesday, March 25. Get all the Aryna Sabalenka v Qinwen Zheng predictions, betting tips and odds for this encounter in the section below.

Aryna Sabalenka v Qinwen Zheng Head to Head

Five matches played, five matches won – that’s Sabalenka’s record against Zheng.

Making it even more one-sided than that looks, Sabalenka has lost just one set over these five matches and in the four matches she has won in straight sets, the world number one has lost just 20 games in all.

These wins have all come in hardcourt tournaments, at the US Open (twice), Australian Open, Wuhan and WTA Finals.

Sabalenka Has No Trouble against Collins

Danielle Collins had come into her fourth round match knowing it was going to be the biggest challenge of the season for the defending champion. And while Collins put up some fight, Aryna Sabalenka proved to be too good for the American.

It was a much-needed win for Sabalenka in some ways with the Belarusian having not played some of the strongest opponents in this tournament. Also considering the fact that Sabalenka hasn’t won a title since her Brisbane International triumph, her mindset at the moment would be to consider every match from here on as a final before the final.

And so after easing to wins over Viktoriya Tomova and Elena-Gabriela Ruse (who retired in the second set), Sabalenka sealed off her quarterfinal berth with a 6-4, 6-4 result against Collins.

Sabalenka will hold a huge advantage going into her last eight match against a player who has never defeated her in the past.

Zheng Builds on Indian Wells Turnaround

Qinwen Zheng had come to the USA for the Sunshine Masters with a rather underwhelming 1-3 win-loss record, revealing a mysterious fitness concern she suffered from at the start of the season.

Things look to have changed for the better for the Chinese number one who first made the quarterfinals at the Indian Wells Open and has now done the same in Miami.

At Indian Wells, Zheng had won all her matches in a straight sets including one against Marta Kostyuk before Iga Swiatek put an end to her campaign. She has repeated a similar showing here in Miami, defeating Lauren Davis, Taylor Townsend and Ashlyn Krueger, all Americans defeated in two sets apiece.

Unfortunately for Zheng, she has now been drawn to take on the world number one. And Sabalenka isn’t any world number one, she is one who has a whopping 5-0 record against Zheng and that will be a cause for concern for Zheng.

Sabalenka v Zheng Predictions

Sabalenka is 3/10 to win this which are great odds given what has transpired all tournament, season and their careers against each other. A straight-set win, which is at 5/6, sounds like a safe punt too as Sabalenka looks to build on her brilliant record against Zheng.
