Dayana Yastremska v Ekaterina Alexandrova Head to Head
There have been three meetings between these two players at this level with Yastremska leading 2-1. They last played at the 2022 Rosmalen Open and Alexandrova had won that in three sets.
Yastremska Ends Tauson’s Run
Clara Tauson looked like she was in the form of her life, having won 10 of the previous 11 matches she had played this season as she took to the court for her semifinal against Dayana Yastremska.
Yastremska need an hour and 48 minutes to end that brilliant run of wins for Tauson, beating her 6-1, 6-4 to move into her first ever final since March 2022. She had finished runner-up at that year’s Lyon Open.
Having entered the match on the back of three straight-set wins, Yastremska had problems with her serve throughout the encounter but saved all nine break-points that she faced in the encounter.
In turn she broke Tauson twice in the first set before clinching the decisive break in the seventh game of the second to ensure there were no comebacks.
Can Yastremska now win her maiden WTA title since her tournament victory in Strasbourg six year ago?

Alexandrova Makes it Second Successive Linz Final
Ekaterina Alexandrova was a losing finalist at this tournament last year too. She will now hope to turn that record when she takes to court for her second successive final in this city after the Russian player registered a crushing win over Karolina Muchova in the semis.
Having entered the match as a 2/1 underdog in the encounter, we had a feeling those odds did no justice to Alexandrova’s chances (in our preview here). What we definitely see coming was the manner in which Alexandrova clinched the victory.
In a match that lasted a mere 73 minutes, she raced off to a 6-0, 6-4 victory over Muchova to make it to her third career final in Linz.
Hitting eight winners in the first set, she broke her opponent three times and while Muchova made a match of it in the second set, she failed to get past the Alexandrova serve. The Russian saved all four break points she faced.
Alexandrova will now be playing for her first title since the Rosmalen triumph in 2023.
Yastremska v Alexandrova Prediction
Alexandrova starts a 3/5 favourite but given how things have gone for both, we would be very wary to call out a winner. Instead, the games market and the total sets market looks to be a slightly safer bet.
