Hubert Hurkacz v Flavio Cobolli Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players, both of which came in 2024 and Hurkacz won them both. They were played in Halle and Cincinnati.
Hurkacz Hoping to Get into Better Form
While it’s tough to say that Hubert Hurkacz has looked out of sorts at the start of the season, he would have definitely liked to do better than his 3-4 win-loss for 2025.
It started at the United Cup where Hurkacz started with successive losses to Casper Ruud and Tomas Machac – two players he should have gotten the better of.
Poland still reached the quarterfinals and while Hurkacz overcame Billy Harris and Alexander Shevchenko in the next two, he fell to Taylor Fritz in the final.
And then at the Australian Open, Hurkacz won his opener against Tallon Griekspoor only to be stunned by the 5/2 underdog Miomir Kecmanovic in the second round.
Can he not get down to brass tacks and push on far into this competition? He is coming off four successive second round exits here.

Cobolli on a Four-Match Losing Streak
Known more for his performances on clay – all three of his lower level titles have been on that surface – Flavio Cobolli won a couple of matches at the United Cup to kick-start the season.
It was a surprise start in a hardcourt competition but what’s followed after that seems to be more par for the course.
Cobolli lost to Machac in the third match there, and has gone down in three more matches following that in a row.
He injured himself against Lucas Nardi in Auckland, fell in a tough four-setter against Tomas Martin Etcheverry at the Australian Open and was no match for the 6/4 underdog Jesper de Jong in the first round of the Montpellier Open.
Against a player ranked 21st in the world, Cobolli will have his work cut out.
