Tommy Paul v Ethan Quinn Head to Head
These two have faced off once before and Paul had won that Newport Open match in 2023 in straight sets.
Paul Stretched by Brooksby
Coming back following his solid showing at the Australian Open, Tommy Paul took some time to get going against Jenson Brooksby.
A quarterfinalist at the season’s first Grand Slam, Paul was on court for two hours and 41 minutes before finally edging out his fellow American opponent.
Paul won 6-7 (6), 6-3, 6-4 in an encounter in which he dropped his serve three times. The third of those three breaks came in the final set and at 2-2 he endured four more break-points.
The world number nine saved all of them and broke his opponent when he served to stay in the match at 4-5.
Expect Paul to get better in this encounter.

Quinn Wins Main Draw Match after a While
The last time Ethan Quinn won a main draw match at this level was in July last year when he made the second round at the Newport Open.
Since then, Quinn has had a few bites at the cherry, tried his best to make the main draw of events and then to the second round but hasn’t been successful.
Till Dallas Open that.
Quinn had made it to the first round with straight set wins over James Trotter and James Duckworth, and he made it through to the second round with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Trevor Svajda.
It remains to be seen if the 20-year-old can now find a way to test a top-10 opponent.
Paul v Quinn Prediction
Paul looked rusty in the first round but we can expect something better this time around and a straight-set win could be in the offing for him.
