Alex de Minaur v Mattia Bellucci Head to Head
De Minaur and Bellucci have never faced off in a competitive match before this.
de Minaur Blasts Altmaier Out
The only player who has defeated Alex de Minaur this season so far is Jannik Sinner, which came in the quarterfinal of the Australian Open.
That defeat aside, de Minaur has now won 10 matches in 2025 and lost just one set!
The latest of de Minaur’s victims was Daniel Altmaier whom the Aussie sent packing 6-1, 6-4 in a quarterfinal lasting less than an hour and a half.
Two breaks of serves is what de Minaur needed in the first set to wrap it up. He faced some resistance in the second when Altmaier came back from a break down to level it at 3-3 but de Minaur broke him in the eighth game to progress to the last four.
He faces the toast of the tournament, giant-killer Mattia Bellucci next.

Bellucci Continues Giant-Killing Spree with Tsitsipas Win
Mattia Bellucci was forced to play in the qualifiers to make it to the main draw here and won both those rounds for a total loss of six games.
An easy first round win over Mees Rottgering followed in the first round but from there on he has been an even bigger revelation.
In the second round, Bellucci was involved in a gritty performance against Daniil Medvedev whom he overcame in three hard-fought sets.
And if one thought that a now-cautious Stefanos Tsitsipas would do a better job of handling him, one was wide off the mark.
Because in less than an hour and a half, Bellucci carved out a 6-4, 6-2 victory over the Greek number one to make it to the semifinal for the first time in his career.
The world number 92 would have broken into the top 70 next week irrespective of this semifinal’s result but another shock could take him closer to the top 50.
de Minaur v Bellucci Prediction
This is where it ends for Bellucci we think. De Minaur has been too disciplined in his approach and has shown an almost-wall-like presence on court, making it rather difficult for opponents to find a way past him.
de Minaur v Bellucci Tips
- De Minaur to win in straight sets: 1/2
