Raphael Collignon v Hamad Medjedovic Head to Head
While they have never faced off at the highest level, these two were involved in a match at the Challenger level and Collignon had won it in three.
Collignon Struggling to Get on the Board
After the kind of season that Raphael Collignon had in 2024, he would have expected to do a lot better than he has at the 2025 season.
To lay a context, Collignon had begun the 2024 season ranked 353rd in the world and was relegated to playing on the Futures tour to try and garner some points.
He went on to win four Futures titles and then added a couple of Challenger tournament wins as well, ending the season ranked 121st – a jump of over 230 ranks in the year.
This year, Collingnon has played in three tournaments, two of which have been at the Challenger level and another was in the qualifiers of the Australian Open and has featured in and lost three matches. He has won just one set in all.

Medjedovic Yet to Play at the Highest Level This Year
It’s been a little strange to see Hamad Medjedovic opting to featuring on the Challenger circuit instead of trying to qualify for the main draw of the ATP events.
Forget the ATP 250s at the start of the season which included the ones in Hong Kong, Adelaide and Hong Kong, Medjedovic opted not to play at the Australian Open qualifiers either.
Instead he was involved in the two Challenger events at Oeiras, winning one title and making it to the quarterfinal at the second.
He was then picked by the Serbian team at the Davis Cup, and shocked Holger Rune in the first match – another reason why he could have tried to make it through to the Australian Open main draw.
Medjedovic now will be featuring in the main draw as his first high level ATP competition since ending the last season with a finals appearance at the Belgrade Open.
Collignon v Medjedovic Prediction
While Collignon deserves a lot of credit for his performance all of 2024, the fact that he has struggled to get going this year and with Medjedovic having gotten his form going, we see this going just one way.
Collignon v Medjedovic Tips
- Medjedovic to win in straight sets: 5/6
