Jaume Munar v Thiago Seyboth Wild Head to Head
These two have faced off three times on the Challenger circuit and twice at the ATP level and Munar leads 4-1 overall. The last time they faced off at the highest level was in this very tournament last year where Seyboth Wild had defeated Munar.
Munar Makes an Impressive Start to the Season
For long, Jaume Munar had been known to be the Next Gen player who could make the waves but he hadn’t quite been able to deliver on his potential.
This year, he has started off well and on a surface that hasn’t always been his favourite.
Munar, typically a clay-court specialist, made the semifinal at both, the Hong Kong Open and the Dallas Open but more vitally got the better of the likes of Lorenzo Musetti and Ben Shelton in those tournaments.
He will now switch over to clay for his first match on this surface for the season and it will be interesting to see how the switch happens in a year when he has exhibited signs of growing as a player outside of clay.

Seyboth Wild Coming off a Quarterfinal in Buenos Aires
Following defeats in three successive matches at the Australian Open, Davis Cup and the Quimper Challenger to kick-start his season, Thiago Seyboth Wild came back well in Argentina last week.
The Brazilian player, who had shot to fame with his maiden title win in Santiago in 2020 but has tapered away after that, made it to the quarterfinals at the Buenos Aires Open.
That included wins over two two local players in Facundo Diaz Acosta and Sebastian Baez, both of whom were favourites going into their respective encounters.
And while Seyboth Wild was finally knocked out by Laslo Djere in the quarterfinals, he had done enough to show he is still a force to reckon with on clay.
Which is why things could get rather interesting when he takes to court against an in-form player but one who hasn’t had any match practice on this surface.
Munar v Seyboth Wild Prediction
Munar starts a 4/6 favourite here but we think this could get really close and once Seyboth Wild gets into the contest and has the crowd support, he might even come through.
Munar v Seyboth Wild Tips
- Seyboth Wild to win: 6/5
