Alex de Minaur v Andrey Rublev Head to Head
There have been six previous meetings between these two players with both having won three apiece. It’s 3-2 in hardcourt competitions and 1-1 in outdoor hardcourt tournaments.
de Minaur Brushes van de Zandschulp Away
Alex de Minaur continues to dominate opponents in 2025 and for the 13th time this season he registered a victory. And it was his 12th straight-set victory.
The victim this time was Botic van de Zandschulp who was soundly defeated by the Aussie, 6-4, 6-4 in a match lasting a tad over two hours.
De Minaur faced four break-points in the match, saving all of them while getting better of van de Zandschulp’s serve once apiece in each of the two sets.
This win follows one over Roman Safiullin in the first round which had come after de Minaur made the final of the Rotterdam Open a week or so ago.
The world number eight now has a tricky quarterfinal against an opponent who has beaten him in the past.

Rublev Makes the Doha Quarterfinal Again
For the seventh time in eight attempts, Andrey Rublev made the quarterfinal at this competition with a straightforward win over Nuno Borges in the second round.
Rublev completed a 6-3, 6-4 drubbing of Borges in a little over one hour to signal his return to form after having overcome Alexander Bublik in a similar manner in the first round as well.
Hammering 11 aces in the encounter and losing just eight points on his serve, Rublev did not face a single break-point in the whole match. In turn he broke Borges once in each of the two sets.
Earlier this season, Rublev had won back to back matches at both, Montpellier and Rotterdam but saw his campaign end in the third.
Can he change that here?
de Minaur v Rublev Prediction
