Carlos Alcaraz v Jiri Lehecka Head to Head
Their only previous meeting came at the 2023 Queen’s Club Championships with Alcaraz having won it in straight sets.
Coasting Alcaraz Drops a Set to Nardi
Rotterdam Open winner Carlos Alcaraz looked to be on his way to win his second round match against Luca Nardi in quite a facile fashion. A sudden turnaround in the second set put an end to his chances of clinching it in straight sets before Alcaraz sealed it off in the third set.
Following a 6-4, 6-4 win over Marin Cilic in the first, Alcaraz looked to be headed towards another such straight-set win when he grabbed the first set 6-1 and then broke Nardi to take a 4-1 lead in the second.
Out of nowhere, however, Nardi broke him twice in a row and was soon serving for the set. He did that to love to take the match into the third set.
Fortunately for Alcaraz, Nardi’s fight did not last too long as he was broken in the fourth game and the Spaniard would soon go on to serve out the match to love.
Can Alcaraz now ease past a slightly more challenging opponent to make it to the semis?

Lehecka Routs Marozsan
It’s fair to say that Jiri Lehecka is in the form of his life and he added another feather to his cap when he sealed off his quarterfinal berth with a straight-set win over Fabian Marozsan.
In a match that failed to go too much beyond an hour of tennis, Lehecka routed Marozsan 6-4, 6-2 to make it his second win in a row in a tournament for the third time this season. He had earlier won the title at Brisbane and made the fourth round at the Australian Open too.
Against Marozsan, Lehecka lost just six points on his own serve in the first set and when he got a chance to break him, he did that late in the opening set.
The second set saw Lehecka get even better with two breaks of serves and just four points lost on his serve.
Earlier in the first round, Lehecka had sent Grigor Dimitrov packing in straight sets too.
Alcaraz v Lehecka Prediction
Alcaraz will start as the favourite here but not before Lehecka has given him a bit of a fight in one of the sets. The games market looks like a good option here.
