Suzan Lamens v Kamilla Rakhimova Head to Head
There has been just one previous meeting between these two players before this and Lamens had won that. It came as recently as in January this year in Brisbane.
Lamens Hoping to Keep Chipping Away at Wins
The 2023 season ended with Suzan Lamens ranked 211th in the world. A year later, she had broken into the top 100 having also won a title in Osaka last year having also clinched a WTA 125 title to go with it
Lamens began 2025 ranked 89th in the world and has kept chipping away at the wins throughout the season.
It started off with a quarterfinal appearance at the Brisbane International, went on to make the second round at the Australian Open, and another at the Cluj-Napoca Open.
More recently, Lamens overcame Daria Saville and Shuai Zhang to qualify for the WTA Dubai main draw but fell at the very first hurdle to Karolina Muchova.
Can she pull off a strong showing here to try and get close to the top 50 on the rankings charts.

Rakhimova Still to Win a Match
Kamilla Rakhmova’s season began in Brisbane with a match against Lamens herself and she was soundly beaten 6-2, 6-4. Since then things have gone from bad to worse for the Russian.
She failed to qualify for the Adelaide International in the following week and was then sent packing in the first round of the Australian Open by Liudmilla Samsonova.
Shifting her focus to the Middle East, Rakhimova has featured in all three tournaments there, playing in the qualifiers of the Abu Dhabi Open, Qatar Open and WTA Dubai but failed to qualify for either of them.
Losses to Cristina Bucsa, Daria Saville and Eva Lys point to a big turnaround that’s needed for Rakhimova.
Lamens v Rakhimova Prediction
Lamens has done enough this season, including a win over Rakhimova, to suggest she has a very good chance to add to her win count. Backing her to win in two.
Lamens v Rakhimova Tips
- Lamens to win in straight sets: 6/5
