Fabian Marozsan v Roberto Bautista Agut Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between them and both have won one. Marozsan clinched the victory at Sofia in 2023 whereas Bautista Agut levelled things out in Hong Kong last year.
Marozsan’s Won a Match Every Tournament This Season
Fabian Marozsan might not have gone too deep into any of the competition he has participated in this season but he has been consistent.
It started with a quarterfinal appearance at the Hong Kong Open which consisted of a shock win over Andrey Rublev and Marozsan followed that up with a third round showing at the Australian Open. There he had overcome Frances Tiafoe in another surprise result.
In more recent times, Marozsan has found it difficult to get beyond a win – losing his second matches at Davis Cup, Rotterdam and Doha – but to be fair to him, he came up against Rublev again in one of those matches and then played the in-form Jiri Lehecka in the second.
Marozsan now has a chance to go deeper as he looks to break back into the top 50 of the ATP Rankings.

Bautista Agut Looking for First Win of the Season
Roberto Bautista Agut is 36 years old but he had shown late last season that he still belongs to the highest level with a title win in Antwerp. That was the 12th tournament victory of his career and should have kept him in a good stead coming into the 2025 season.
Unfortunately for Bautista-Agut, things haven’t gone too well for him since the start of this year.
Having started out in Adelaide, Bautista Agut was sent packing in straight sets by Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in that encounter and then fought hard at the Alejandro Davidovich Fokina at the Australian Open before losing his opener again.
Pedro Martinez then came through in straight sets against him in Rotterdam and Zizou Bergs registerd a 6-4, 7-6 (4) win in Doha to make it 0-4 on win-loss for the year.
The trouble for Bautista Agut is it’s not like he is drawing some of the top 10 players early in his draw – those losses have come against anyone but those. And that cannot be good news.
Marozsan v Bautista Agut Prediction
While we think Bautista Agut will come back at some point, it might not be the easiest gig. Especially against a player who has consistently been getting through his openers, against players ranked around his own rank. Backing Marozsan to grab this.
