Daily French Open betting tips, predictions and odds

Get all the free ATP Monte-Carlo Masters betting tips, predictions and picks along with their latest odds for the 2025 edition of the tournament which will be held in the second week of April this year.

An ATP-only 1000 tournament which has been around for more than 100 years, the ATP Monte-Carlo is also called the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters as a result of their sponsorship with the tournament.

What makes it an impressive competition is the fact that by the virtue of having being played for the first time in 1896, it’s one of the oldest tennis tournaments to ever be played in the history of this sport (Wimbledon, which is the oldest tournament in the world, started in 1877).

Typically played in April-May in the lead-up to the French Open, it’s a part of the Masters 1000 series of competitions and has a main draw of 56 singles players and 24 doubles teams.

Some of the top players to have won this tournament over the years include Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Stan Wawrinka.

Monte-Carlo Masters 2025 Tournament Preview

We will update this with the latest preview once the draw for the 2025 edition is out. In the meantime, read our preview to the 2024 version below.

One of the biggest pieces of news coming into this tournament is also related to one of the most awaited event at the Monte-Carlo Masters this year.

Rafael Nadal was expected to make his return to competitive tennis at the 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters but just a couple of days before the start of the tournament, the 11-time champion withdrew from it because he hasn’t fully recovered from his fitness woes.

What this means is that the last time Nadal won this tournament was way back in 2018, having missed out in the years that have followed for a variety of reasons.

What it also means is that the draw becomes more open with each of Novak Djokovic, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz having a good shot at going the distance. Interestingly, for all his GOAT-like records across most tournaments around the world, Djokovic has won this title just twice while neither Sinner, nor Alcaraz have ever clinched it.

The other players who look like they could have an outside chance are Alexander Zverev, who has now jumped up to fifth in the world, and Andrey Rublev, the defending champion.

What Happened in the 2024 Edition of the Monte-Carlo Masters?

Stefanos Tsitsipas, who had already won this title on two previous occasions, came back strongly from his poor form this season, to send Casper Ruud packing in the final and lifting his third trophy in Monte-Carlo.

In a lopsided final, Tsitsipas demolished Ruud 6-1, 6-4 to grab the win against all odds.

This was after Ruud had sent shockwaves in the competition by beating Novak Djokovic in a pulsating three-setter in the semifinal round. Defending champion Andrey Rublev, who had won the 2023 edition, had a first round bye here but fell in the second round to Alexei Popyrin.

On his part, Tsitsipas had no easier a draw either, as he trumped Alexander Zverev in the third round, routed Karen Khachanov in the quarterfinals before upsetting one of the pre-tournament favourites, Jannik Sinner in the semifinals.

What Happened in the 2023 Edition of the Monte-Carlo Masters?

Andrey Rublev, who had entered the tournament as the fifth seed behind Novak Djokovic, two-time defending champion Stefanos Tsitsipas, Daniil Medvedev and Casper Ruud, emerged an unlikely champion in the 2023 edition of the Monte-Carlo Masters.

He overcame a first set deficit to overcome Holger Rune in the final, winning 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 to lift the trophy.

After getting a first round bye, Rublev edged out Jaume Munar, Karen Khachanov, Jan-Lennard Struff and Taylor Fritz in the lead-up to the final.

On the other hand, Rune sent Dominic Thiem out in his opener, got a walkover from Matteo Berrettini, crushed Daniil Medvedev before surprising Jannik Sinner to make the title-decider.

Djokovic was stunned in the third round by Lorenzo Musetti while Tsitsipas lost to Fritz in the quarterfinals.
