WTA Prague Open betting tips and predictions

Get all the free WTA Prague Open betting tips, predictions and picks along with their latest odds for the 2024 edition of the tournament, a rare women’s hardcourt competition played just before this year’s Olympics.

The Prague Open, which is a WTA 250 competition played on the women’s tennis circuit, has been around since 2010. It first began as an ITF tournament before getting promoted to the WTA circuit in 2015.

Earlier played on clay, this changed to hardcourt surface in 2021 and has been played like that since then.

Lucie Safarova, who won a couple of titles when the tournament was played on the ITF circuit, then added a third as a WTA title here to make her the most successful player in this competition. In 2023, Nao Hibino became the first player to win both, the singles and the doubles title at this competition in the same year.

At the moment, the Prague Open is called the Livesport Prague Open after its sponsors.

What Happened in the 2023 Edition of the WTA Prague Open?

In what turned out to be one of the biggest shock title wins of the season, lucky loser Nao Hibino clinched the title by defeating the fourth seeded Linda Noskova in the final. Incidentally, only four previous titles at this level had been won by lucky losers.

Hibino, who had lost to Emiliana Arango in the qualifiers, came through to the main draw and was drawn to face Sara Errani in her opener. She won that in three sets.

This was followed by straight-set wins over Viktoria Hruncakova and Tereza Martincova before Jaqueline Cristian pushed her into the third set in the semifinals. In the final, Hibino routed Noskova 6-4, 6-1 to hold the trophy afloat.
