What Happened in the 2024 Edition of the ATP Buenos Aires?

Facundo Diaz Acosta had entered the 2024 edition of the Argentina Open as a wildcard and he went on to win the title by defeating the third seeded Nicolas Jarry 6-3, 6-4 in the final.

This was after Jarry had made things easier for Acosta by stunning the top seeded and defending champion Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinal. He beat the Spaniard 7-6 (2), 6-3 in that semifinal.

Acosta, who had never made the final of any ATP event before that and would be sent out packing in the first round at both, the 2024 Australian Open and Wimbledon, did not drop a set in the entire tournament.
