Ugo Humbert v Hamad Medjedovic Head to Head
There has been no previous outing between these two players.
Humbert on the Verge of Defending His Title
Ugo Humbert won two titles in 2024 including one here in Marseille and he is now a step away from defending that.
The world number 17, who had a first round bye, registered his third consecutive straight-set win in the tournament to reach the final where he will aim to become the seventh player to win multiple titles at this competition.
Starting out as a 9/25 favourite in his semifinal against Zizou Bergs, Humbert ran off to a 6-4, 6-4 win over his opponent. He was on the court for an hour and 31 minutes.
That followed his ousters of Alexander Bublik and Lorenzo Sonego in the previous two rounds. He will now take on a 21-year-old player who has been assisted in many ways as a kid by Novak Djokovic himself.

Medjedovic Shocks Medvedev
Lower-ranked players stunning Daniil Medvedev has become the theme of this season but in this tournament, the Russian looked to have attained some rhythm.
And yet, it was the turn of the 96th-ranked Hamad Medjedovic to pull off a remarkable win over the world number eight in their semifinals.
In what was his maiden win over a top-10 player, Medjedovic needed an hour and 13 minutes to dispatch Medvedev, 6-3, 6-2. Both players helped themselves to a break apiece in the first two games of the match but a late break of serve helped Medjedovic serve out the opening set.
The second set began in the same manner with the two trading breaks again but from that point onward, Medvedev won just one more game as Medjedovic ran away to a victory.
Humbert v Medjedovic Prediction
While defeating Medvedev was a big result by itself, Medjedovic will now be aiming for the biggest win of his career as he looks to claim his first career title. We think he might have to wait a little though with Humbert himself in some brilliant form in this tournament. Three set win to Humbert can be expected.
Humbert v Medjedovic Tips
- Humbert to win: 9/20
- Three sets in the match: 6/5
