Kei Nishikori v Alexandre Muller Head to Head
This will be the first meeting between Nishikori and Muller at any level.

While Nishikori was a favourite going into his semifinal against Juncheng Shang, he was only marginally ahead. Which is why when Shang retired from the match just seven games into the encounter, Nishikori would have heaved a sigh of relief.
It might have come in unfortunate circumstances but the march into the final would have been something that Nishikori might have even given up on having barely played in 2023 and struggling through tournaments last season,
In fact in making the final here, Nishikori has entered his first title-deciding round since the 2019 Brisbane International where he had beaten Daniil Medvedev to grab his last tournament win.
He now has a brilliant chance to do the same again, almost five years on to the date.
Muller Makes it Fourth Successive Three-Setter
Exhaustion will come into play in the final, especially if things go long after Muller was forced into a fourth consecutive three-set encounter. This time around it was Jaume Munar who was put to the sword but not before Muller had been on court for nearly two and a half hours,
After losing the first set to a solitary break of serve, Muller’s chances seemed to be fading away when he fell 1-3 behind in the second set.
That was not to be, however, for Munar who then dropped his serve and in the following tie-breaker lost 7-5.
With Muller firing all cylinders by now, he broke early in the second set and then lost just six points on his serve to clinch the win.
This follows his wins over Marc-Andrea Huesler, Miomir Kecmanovic, Arthur Fils and Jaume Munar in the previous rounds.
