In a shade over two hours, de Minaur had won 6-2, 6-4, 6-3 to move into the third round, having earlier also eased past Botic van de Zandschulp in a similar vein.

Cerundolo Aided by Diaz Acosta Injury
Francisco Cerúndolo is the last man standing as far as Argentine players in the men’s draw are concerned after he moved into the third round at the expense of his countryman Facundo Diaz Acosta.
Diaz Acosta retired from the match because of an ankle injury just 40 minutes into the contest with Cerundolo leading him by a set and 1-0 in the second.
And while Cerundolo did say that it was a shame his opponent had to bow out the manner in which he did, he will look forward to the extra rest he has got here given the kind of test he has in the third round.
This win follows a straight-set drubbing of Alexander Bublik in the first round which was a shock result in the manner in which it came for the Argentine.
In his second, third round appearance at this competition following his 2023 result. Cerúndolo will now be aiming to convert it into a joint personal-best – he had achieved that at the 2023 and 24 French Open by making round four.
