Arthur Rinderknech v Nuno Borges Head to Head
Rinderknech and Borges have never faced off before this.
Rinderknech Has Just Two Wins for the Season
While the tennis season is just over two months old, Arthur Rinderknech would have the right to feel a tad disappointed with the way things have gone for him this year.
Other than an opening round win over Harold Mayot in Montpellier and one against the 5/1 underdog Dmitry Popko in Delray Beach, Rinderknech has lost all his matches. That’s a whopping seven matches lost to go with those two wins.
As a result, Rinderknech who was ranked 59th at the start of the year has now fallen to 73rd at the moment.
The Frenchman can take heart from the fact that he was 96th on the ATP charts at the end of the 2023 season and recovered reasonably well after some top performances in the second half of the season.
He wouldn’t want to wait till that time to start accumulating wins but Rinderknech starts off with a difficult opening encounter here.

Consistent Borges 10-7 for the Season
Nuno Borges started the season ranked 36th in the world and over two months on, he has maintained that position (he will start the tournament at 36th too) after playing six tournaments.
His best showing for the year came at the Auckland Open where Borges was forced to fight through all the three matches he played, winning them in three sets apiece to make the semifinals.
The Portuguese player made the third round at the Australian Open too but since then, he hasn’t won more than one match in each of the tournaments.
To be fair to Borges, however, those last two defeats have come at the hands of Andrey Rublev and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Rinderknech v Borges Predictions
Borges has picked up pace this year and looks like one of the players to watch among those outside the top 20. We can expect him to get going in this bigger competitions and cause an upset or two but before he does that, Borges should not have a problem getting the better of Rinderknech.
Rinderknech v Borges Tips
- Borges to win in straight sets: 1/1
