Elena Rybakina v Mirra Andreeva Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings, at the 2023 China Open which Rybakina won and in Dubai earlier this year where Andreeva triumphed in three sets.
Rybakina Sends Out Boulter
Great Britain’s Katie Boulter has had her fitness concerns in recent times and Elena Rybakina took full advantage of that possibility as she took her opponent out in straight sets.
In a match lasting an hour and 17 minutes, Rybakina completed a 6-0, 7-5 victory to reach the fourth round here.
Rybakina, a 2023 winner at this tournament but after missing participation in this tournament in 2024, ran through the Boulter serve in the first set, breaking her three times in 26 minutes.
The second set was a lot tighter with Boulter even grabbing a 5-3 lead but Rybakina prevented her from serving out the set. She soon broke Boulter for the second time in a row to finish off the encounter.
This followed a 6-3, 6-3 drubbing of Suzan Lamens in the second round.

Andreeva Routs Tauson
We had called this a final before the final given how Mirra Andreeva and Clara Tauson had faced off in a title-decider last month but this time around it turned out to be a fairly straightforward win for the Russian.
In fact Andreeva was in some form that she needed a mere 64 minutes to send Tauson packing, winning 6-0, 6-3 to reach round four.
Andreeva missed three chances to break her opponent in the first game of the match but once she had gotten the better of her opponent’s serve in the fifth game there was no looking back.
Tauson managed to win just one game after that as Andreeva broke her five times in the encounter to ease off to a win. This was after she had earned an opening bye and was a 7-5, 6-4 winner in the second round.
Rybakina v Andreeva Predictions
This has all the makings of a close encounter but Andreeva’s form makes her a favourite in the end.
Rybakina v Andreeva Tips
- Andreeva to win: 10/11
