Marketa Vondrousova v Emma Raducanu Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players with both winning one apiece.
Vondrousova won at the Billie Jean King Cup in 2022 after Raducanu had defeated her at the 2021 Wimbledon.
Vondrousova Hoping to Shrug off Injury Concerns
Marketa Vondrousova has been a little injury-prone having come into the 2025 season having last played at Wimbledon in 2024.
Her first tournament back was in Adelaide in which Vondrousova won her opener against Anatasia Pavlyuchenkova and was leading by a set against Diana Shnaider before having to retire from her second round match.
As a result of that purportedly thigh injury, Vondrousova failed to feature at the Australian Open as well, leaving question-marks over her medium-term presence on the WTA Tour.
Which is why it would be interesting to see her come back as quickly as this tournament as she takes to court for her opener against another player who has had fitness concerns.

Raducanu Shocked in Singapore
Emma Raducanu wasn’t able to feature in any of the tune-up tournaments in Australia before the season’s first major, with fitness again being a question.
However, she returned well with a third round appearance at the Australian Open, following wins over Ekaterina Alexandrova and Amanda Anisimova – two highly challenging opponents. A loss to Iga Swiatek was par for the course but there were concerns about the manner of her defeat, with the British player winning just one game in the encounter.
What seems to have made things slightly worse is the manner in which she fell away in the first round of the Singapore Open.
Raducanu was a whopping 3/10 favourite against Cristibna Bucsa and while she won the opening set, she was unable to close out. Bucsa ousted the world number 56 5-7, 7-5, 7-5.
Can Raducanu now put up a better showing in an outdoor hardcourt competition where she has a better record than indoors which was where the Singapore match was played.
Vondrousova v Raducanu Prediction
There will be a touch of tentativeness as far as fitness goes for both but Raducanu could hold a slight edge in this one and at 10/11 will be our pick to pull off a bit of an upset.
Vondrousova v Raducanu Tips
