Noskova in an Easy Win over Linette
At the one end is Krueger who has won all her rounds in this tournament in three. At the other is Linda Noskova who has been on a routing spree.
After having dropped just three games in her opening round win over Magdalena Frech, Noskova shocked the 11/20 favourite Paula Badosa in the second, winning 6-4, 6-1.
And in the quarterfinals, Noskova did not have any trouble again, beating Magda Linette in straight sets.
Noskova took an hour and 23 minutes for her 6-4, 6-3 win, a match that saw her rarely get into trouble. One such occasion was when Noskova was broken in the first set to allow Linette make it 2-2 but she broke right back to retain the advantage.
From there on, it was all one-way traffic as Noskova grabbed the victory and a place in the semifinal.
