Marcos Giron v Ethan Quinn Preview
Head-to-Head: Giron and Quinn have never faced off in a competitive match before this.
Marcos Giron has been in and around the top 60 in the world for the last couple of seasons and he has continued to deliver in the same vein this year too.
After having made it to the quarterfinal at the Adelaide International, he entered the third round at the Australian Open before Jannik Sinner got the better of Giron there.
The American then moved over to feature in the Davis Cup where he eased past Hsin Tseng Chun in his only match and will now take to court for his second round match here, following a first round bye.
He takes on fellow American and world number 150 Ethan Quinn in the second round.
Quinn had featured in the qualifiers here, losing to Zachary Svajda in the second qualifying round before getting a main draw chance because of a withdrawal.
And Quinn managed to take advantage of that by notching up his second successive first round win. He edged out Tristan Boyer in three hard-fought sets, two of which went into a tie-breaker.
Can he make things difficult for Giron?
Giron v Quinn prediction: Giron to win: 2/5

Alex Michelsen v Michael Mmoh Preview
Head-to-Head: Michelsen and Mmoh have never faced off before this.
On the one side is Alex Michelsen who has shown he is capable of big things when he reached the fourth round of the Australian Open, defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas and Karen Khachanov on his way.
He is currently ranked 37th in the world, one away from his career-best ranking and a solid run here could push him closer to the top 30.
On the other side of the net is Michael Mmoh who is on a comeback trail and slowly but surely moving up the rankings ladder.
Having begun his season at the Cleveland Challenger, he reached the second round there before qualifying for the Dallas Open. There he overcame Roberto Carballes Baena before falling to Casper Ruud.
Here, Mmoh was at it again in the qualifiers, winning both those rounds before edging out Alexander Shevchenko in his opener.
Can he now put up a show against Michelsen too?
Michelsen v Mmoh prediction: Michelsen to win in straight sets: 4/5
