Jan-Lennard Struff v Tallon Griekspoor Head to Head
There have been two previous meetings between these two players and Griekspoor has won them both – at the 2021 US Open and the 2024 Davis Cup.
Struff 3-4 for the Season
Jan-Lennard Struff had made a slow start to the season before he took to court at Marseille last week.
Having won just one match from the three tournaments he played in Auckland, Australian Open and Rotterdam, Struff tripled his victory count in Marseille.
He won the first two rounds of the competition there before going down to Daniil Medvedev in a hurry.
Struff, who won his maiden ATP event in 2024, some 14 years after turning professional, will hope he can do as well as he had last season. That being said, he had been knocked out of this tournament in the very first round in 2024 and he would do well to improve upon that performance.

Griekspoor 3-3 for the Season
Tallon Griekspoor has featured in three tournaments this season and like Struff, his best showing was a set of two wins in one of them – it came at the Montpellier Open where he overcame fellow Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp and then beat Richard Gasquet to reach the quarterfinals.
And much like Struff there have been other underwhelming performances in the season as well, like when he was knocked out of the Australian Open in the first round and lost in second round in Rotterdam.
The difference, however, is that those losses came at the hands of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Hubert Hurkacz, two of the top 25 players in the world today.
Against most of the players out of this top circle, Griekspoor has had a good time and we could see him hold a slight edge against the undercooked Struff.
