Nardi Gets a Chance for Revenge
Just two days ago, Luca Nardi went down to Marton Fucsovics in the qualifiers of this event, losing in a fighting, but straight set encounter.
The Italian, 21-year-old, who has won six of his seven Challenger titles in hardcourt competitions, had lost 7-6 (5), 6-4 in that match but now gets a chance to feature in the tournament following the withdrawal of Jack Draper.
Nardi has had a decent start to the season after he made the second round of the Auckland Open as a qualifier, but then lost his opener at the Australian Open to Gabriel Diallo.
A runner-up trophy at a Challenger competition after that would have helped him get some of his confidence back but Nardi has won just one main draw match since then.
