Alex Michelsen v Denis Shapovalov Head to Head
Michelsen and Shapovalov have never faced off before this.
Michelsen in a Thriller against Bu
Despite starting out a 2/5 favourite against Bu Yunchaokete in his opener, Alex Michelsen was forced to remain on court for nearly three hours for his opening round victory.
It took him to overcome seven breaks of serves and multiple twists and turns in the encounter for Michelsen to book his spot in the second round.
At one stage Michelsen was down a set and 2-4 in the second. He fought back to level things out at 4-4. Michelsen then fell 5-6 behind but broke Bu as he served for the match before clinching the set in a tie-breaker.
In the decider, Michelsen went 5-2 ahead with two breaks of serves but stumbled again to hand the initiative back, before finally winning it a tie-breaker.T
He will now hope he can live up to the kind of tennis he has played all season which has also seen him make the fourth round of the Australian Open and the semifinal in Delray Beach.

Shapovalov Makes it Six in Six
Denis Shapovalov is on a solid run and he registered his sixth win in as many matches when he dispelled Nishesh Basavareddy in straight sets in his opener here.
This followed a title win for Shapovalov in Dallas two weeks ago where he overcame Miomir Kecmanovic, Taylor Fritz, Tomas Machac, Tommy Paul and Casper Ruud on his way to the victory.
Here, he was on court for an hour and 39 minutes in which he sealed a 7-5, 6-2 win over his American opponent.
The first set was a bit of an up and down showing from Shapovalov who first took a 3-1 lead and then fell 4-5 behind as Basavareddy served for the set. Shapovalov broke back and then again to clinch the set before running away with the second.
He will now hope to make it seven in seven.
Michelsen v Shapovalov Prediction
This could turn out to be an interesting encounter especially given the kind of form that Shapovalov is in. At some stage, Shapovalov could face a bigger challenge than he has and with odds of 6/4 for a Michelsen win, we think this could be a good chance for us to go with the American.
