Jessica Pegula v Anna Blinkova Head to Head
They have faced off four times in their careers and Pegula leads 3-1. Pegula had won their first three matches while Blinkova clinched a win in their latest meeting which came in Indian Wells last year.
Pegula Brushes Parrizas Diaz Aside
For the second match in a row, Jessica Pegula did not have a lot of worries winning the encounter.
Following a 6-3, 3-2 scoreline in her opener following which Arantxa Rus retired from the match, Pegula brushed Nuria Parrizas Diaz away with a 6-1, 6-3 win in the second.
Pegula needed a mere 66 minutes, did not face a single break-point and got the better of her opponent’s serve on four occasions to win the encounter.
This is the fourth time this season that Pegula has won back to back matches and only one has she managed to win a third one too. Can it be this time when she takes on Russian opponent Anna Blinkova?

Blinkova Eases Past Maria
Following a difficult opening round win over Moyuka Uchijima, Anna Blinkova wasn’t on court for too long in her second round victory.
Blinkova needed 68 minutes to claim a 6-2, 6-2 win with five breaks of serve in the encounter going her way.
It started with both players trading breaks of serves but from that point onward, Blinkova dropped just three of the following 14 games.
The Russian has had a consistent season so far too with opening round wins at all the six tournaments she has featured in and this being her second occasion of winning back to back matches.
Blinkova hasn’t won three in a row since the Hong Kong Open last October and coming up against Pegula that does look difficult.
Pegula v Blinkova Prediction
Pegula’s form has been a suspect, so while she does start off a favourite at 1/5, we can expect Blinkova to come hard at her. Backing the Russian to extend this contest to
