Stefanos Tsitsipas v Felix Auger-Aliassime Head to Head
There have been nine previous meetings between these two players and Tsitsipas leads 6-3 on head to head.
The last time they faced off was in 2023, in Paris where the Greek number one had won.
They have also played in two previous finals, at the 2022 Rotterdam Open where Auger-Aliassime had won and 2020 Marseille Open in which Tsitsipas had triumphed.
In outdoor hardcourt competitions, Tsitsipas leads 3-1.
Tsitsipas Eases Past Tallon Griekspoor
The last time that Stefanos Tsitsipas featured in this competition was in 2020. He had made the final then, having done the same in 2019 in this tournament. Both times, he had lost that title-decider.
Tsitsipas did not play here after that but five years on, returning to what is now becoming one of most favourite venues, he has reached another final.
It’s his first for the season and in fact, first since he made the Barcelona Open final in April last year.
And Tsitsipas did that by easing past Tallon Griekspoor in the previous round, winning 6-4, 6-4 to clinch the spot.
Having defeated Lorenzo Sonego in the first round in straight sets, Tsitsipas had needed three sets apiece against Karen Khachanov and Matteo Berrettini in the next two rounds to win.
Against Griekspoor, Tsitsipas did not face a single break-point and won 91% of his first serve points to win it in less than an hour and a half.
He now renews an age-old rivalry with Auger-Aliassime.

Auger-Aliassime in Another Three-Setter
Despite starting out a 3/10 favourite in his semifinal, Felix Auger-Aliassime had another struggle on his hand when he took on Quentin Halys in that encounter.
Auger-Aliassime had made the semifinal in Doha last week where he had fallen to Andrey Rublev in three sets.
Since then, he has now played four matches and in all of them he has been kept on the court for three sets, making it five three-setters in a row.
The last of these was against Halys, who bagged the first set despite frittering away an early break of serve and three set-points at a later stage.
Auger-Aliassime came back in the second set with a break of serve in the fifth game and then broke Halys twice more in the decider to grab the win.
The world number 23 will now be gunning for his third title of the season after his triumphs in Adelaide and Montpellier.
Tsitsipas v Auger-Aliassime Predictions
The signs of his return back to form are there and that’s what should give Tsitsipas a lot of confidence despite being against a player who has won two titles this year. Tsitsipas is a 4/6 favourite but our eyes are on another three-setter here.
Tsitsipas v Auger-Aliassime Tips
- Three sets in the match: 6/5
