What Happened in the 2025 Edition of the ATP Marseille?

Ugo Humbert made it two titles in a row in Marseille when he defeated Hamad Medjedovic in the final in straight sets to grab the tournament victory. He won 7-6 (4). 6-4 to lift his seventh title at this level.

Humbert had first won an ATP title in Auckland in 2020 and his most recent time before this one in Marseille had come in Dubai in 2024.

This was after the second seeded Humbert eased past Zizou Bergs and Medjedovic shocked Daniil Medvedev in their respective semifinals.

What Happened in the 2024 Edition of the ATP Marseille?

In a battle between the second seeded Grigor Dimitrov and Ugo Humbert, who was the fourth seeded, it was the latter who came out on top to win the title. Humbert was a 6-4, 6-3 winner over Dimitrov.

This was after all the top four seeds made the semifinals with Humbert upsetting the top seed and defending champion Hubert Hurkacz while Dimitrov edging out the third seeded Karen Khachanov in a final set tie-breaker.

Interestingly Humbert had made four previous ATP finals and won them and would go on to lift the title at ATP Dubai as well in 2024 to make it 6-0 in ATP final matches.

Humbert’s other titles had come at the 2020 Auckland Open, 2020 European Open, 2021 Halle Open and 2023 Moselle Open.
