Linda Noskova v Magdalena Frech Head to Head
They first faced off on the ITF circuit in 2021 where Frech won in straight sets before Noskova overcame her opponent in the qualifiers of the 2023 Cincinnati Open.
Noskova on a Three-Match Losing Streak
Linda Noskova seemed to have made the kind of start to the season that she would have expected off her when she won her opening round encounter at the Brisbane International against Anca Todoni.
In the very next match, however, she lost to Mirra Andreeva and that was followed by first round defeats at both, the Adelaide International and Australian Open.
At the former, it was Maria Sakkari who overcame Noskova while at the latter, she was beaten by the in-form Clara Tauson.
And while one might argue that Noskova has had a tough draw in each of the aforementioned competitions, she will need to start winning some of these matches. Not that Magdalena Frech, ranked 10 positions above her, is going to be any easy anyway.

Frech Shrugs off Poor Start with Australian Open Showing
Following back to back losses to kick-start the season, Magdalena Frech had question-marks all over her form as she headed into the Australian Open.
Because while she had a tough opener in Adelaide where she eventually lost to Jelena Ostapenko, Frech should have overcome Suzan Lames in Brisbane.
At the Australian Open, however, Frech stunned Polina Kudermetova and then defeated Anna Blinkova to make it to the third round. There, she went down fighting in three sets to Mirra Andreeva.
She will enter the new week – and tournament – ranked 27th in the world, which is five away from her career-best. A strong showing in this competition could get her close to that.
Noskova v Frech Prediction
Linda Noskova has had her issues this season and with Frech having found some form, we could see the match get a lot closer than what the odds are suggesting (Noskova is 3/5 while Frech’s at 11/10).
Noskova v Frech Tips
- Three sets in the match: 6/5
- Frech to win a set – Yes: 2/5
