Grigor Dimitrov v Jiri Lehecka Head to Head
Four previous meetings between these two players have resulted in three wins for Lehecka including one as recently as last month in Brisbane. Dimitrov had beaten his opponent just once and that came way back in 2022 at the Australian Open.
Dimitrov Hoping to Keep Injuries Away
Grigor Dimitrov has featured in only two tournaments this season and on both occasions his campaign was ended by injuries.
The first time this happened in 2025 was in the semifinal of the Brisbane International where he was up against Jiri Lehecka himself but was forced to retire from his match.
And then in the first round of the Australian Open, Dimitrov failed to recover too well and opted to retire from the encounter because of a hip injury with Francesco Passaro becoming the beneficiary of his retirement.
Injuries have been a part of Dimitrov’s career with the Bulgarian having had fitness issues last year at both Wimbledon and the US Open and he will hope, for starters, he can keep fit for the entire duration of the match.

Lehecka Himself Returning from Injury!
If it was his hip that bothered Dimitrov, Jiri Lehecka was forced to retire from his second round match against Hubert Hurkacz at the Rotterdam Open because of a thigh problem.
This had come on the back of a super start to the season for Lehecka who had featured at the Brisbane International, Australian Open and Davis Cup before that and acquired a 9-2 win-loss record.
He won the title in Brisbane, aided by an injury to Reilly Opelka in the final, made the fourth round at the Australian Open before falling to Novak Djokovic, no less and won his only Davis Cup singles match as well.
All eyes will now be on whether he can come back quickly enough from his own fitness concerns when he takes to court here, just 12 days after having retired from his match.
He had updated his status on social media and said he would do everything to be ready for this tournament and for now it looks like that’s exactly what he’s done.
Dimitrov v Lehecka Prediction
This isn’t one to call given both players are coming off injury layoffs of varying time. If both were fit, one would have to go with Lehecka given his form but we would have to avoid calling this one other than looking at the games market.
